The Pinnacle Fiberglass Pool with Splash Deck
The fiberglass pool built for multi-generational families across the Kansas City Metro.
Get a Pinnacle quote for your homeThe Pinnacle is the pool we install most often — and the reason is right at the surface. A full-width splash deck spans one end of the pool, just below the waterline. It’s the place where grandparents sit in shallow water while toddlers play at their feet. Where adults lounge in chairs at swim level on a summer afternoon. Where teenagers cannonball off the deep end while younger kids stay safely up top. One pool, three generations, all in the water together.
Built for how families actually use a pool
Most fiberglass pools force families into one mode of swimming. Lap pools are great for fitness but terrible for toddlers. Plunge pools are great for cooling off but too small to gather. Standard rectangular pools work for swimming but leave no shallow social space.
The Pinnacle solves this by giving you both — a clean, modern rectangular swim corridor AND a generous shallow tanning ledge in one shell. The splash deck is about a foot of water deep across the entire 8-foot-wide end of the pool. Wide enough to fit two lounge chairs side by side. Shallow enough that a non-swimming grandparent can sit in the water with a 2-year-old on their lap. Deep enough at the other end for serious swimming.
When clients describe what they want from a backyard pool — somewhere everyone in the household can enjoy together, regardless of age or comfort in deeper water — the Pinnacle is the design that delivers it.

Why the Pinnacle is our most-installed pool
Three reasons, in our experience:
1. The splash deck is the closer. Buyers who have a backyard and a family budget can pick from dozens of fiberglass pool designs. The ones who pick the Pinnacle almost always do so after standing on the splash deck of a finished install. It’s a feature that’s hard to imagine from a brochure — and impossible to walk away from once you’ve felt it.
2. The 30 to 40 foot range fits real Kansas City Metro yards. A 16-by-30-foot pool with a splash deck fits comfortably in most Johnson County and Jackson County backyards we work in. The 35 and 40 foot versions work for larger lots without going so big that the pool dominates the space. We’ve installed all three sizes across the metro, and we’ll help you figure out which one fits your yard before you commit.
3. It’s built to outlast the house. The Pinnacle uses Leisure Pools’ Composite Armour™ shell construction — a vinyl ester resin matrix reinforced with Kevlar, carbon fiber, and basalt fiber. Independent testing shows it’s 111% stronger than standard fiberglass. That structural strength is why Leisure Pools backs the Pinnacle with both a Lifetime Structural Warranty and a Lifetime Structural Osmosis Warranty — the latter covers the bubbles, blisters, and bulges that other manufacturers’ warranties often exclude.

Pinnacle or Reflection? How to choose
If you’re comparing the Pinnacle to the Leisure Pools Reflection, here’s the practical difference:
The Reflection is a slightly more curved, freeform-leaning rectangular design. It can be ordered with or without a splash deck. Its corners are rounded, giving it a softer aesthetic that fits well with landscape gardens and curved hardscape.
The Pinnacle is fully rectangular with crisp 90-degree corners. The splash deck is standard, not optional. The aesthetic is cleaner, more architectural — it fits well with modern home styles and contemporary patio designs.
Both are excellent pools. The choice usually comes down to two questions:
1. Is the splash deck a must-have, or a maybe? If it’s a must-have (multi-gen households, families with toddlers, people who want a tanning ledge for chairs), the Pinnacle has it standard. The Reflection makes it optional.
2. What’s your home’s architectural style? Clean lines, modern build, geometric patio? Pinnacle. Curves, traditional landscaping, garden integration? Consider the Reflection.
We’ll walk you through both during your design consultation if you’re not sure which fits your yard better.
Investment and installation timeline
A Pinnacle installation in our service area is a premium investment, with projects typically starting in the low six figures. Final pricing depends on your site conditions, deck and coping selections, equipment choices, and any optional features like swim jets or water features. We provide a complete written quote during your in-home consultation so there are no surprises.
Most Pinnacle installations are completed 8 to 12 weeks from contract to swimming. That’s significantly faster than comparable concrete pools, which typically take 16 to 24 weeks. The factory-built shell arrives ready to set, which eliminates the long curing and finishing windows that drag out concrete builds.
Financing is available. Most of our clients use a combination of cash and home equity-based financing to spread the investment over time. See our financing page for current options and pre-qualification.
Service area and warranty
We install the Pinnacle throughout the Kansas City Metro on both sides of the state line — Johnson County, Wyandotte County, and southern Leavenworth County in Kansas; Jackson, Clay, and Platte Counties in Missouri. If you’re unsure whether your address falls within our service area, send us your ZIP code and we’ll confirm same-day.
Every Pinnacle we install carries three layers of coverage:
- Lifetime Structural Warranty from Leisure Pools on the shell itself — covers structural failure for the life of the pool
- Lifetime Structural Osmosis Warranty from Leisure Pools — covers the surface against osmotic blisters and bulges
- 3-year workmanship warranty from Hometown Pool — covers our installation work, including excavation, plumbing, deck attachment, and equipment installation
Between the manufacturer’s lifetime coverage and our 3-year workmanship guarantee, the Pinnacle is one of the most protected pool purchases you can make in our market.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between fiberglass and a concrete or vinyl-liner pool?
Fiberglass pools are pre-manufactured shells made from composite materials. The shell arrives at your home in one piece and is set in a single day. Concrete (gunite) pools are built on-site over 4 to 6 months and require resurfacing every 8–12 years. Vinyl-liner pools have a flexible liner that needs replacement every 6–12 years and can be punctured by debris or pool toys. Fiberglass pools have no liner to replace, no resurfacing cycle, and a smooth non-porous gel coat finish that resists algae and stains. For most Kansas City Metro homeowners, fiberglass offers the best balance of upfront cost and long-term ownership cost.
Can the Pinnacle be installed in my yard?
Most yards in our service area can accommodate at least the 30-foot Pinnacle. Access for delivery (we need a path wide enough for the shell to be set with a crane), setbacks from property lines, and existing utilities all factor in. We do a free site assessment before any commitment — we’ll tell you straight up whether your yard works for the Pinnacle, whether a different model fits better, or whether the site isn’t a good candidate for fiberglass at all.
How deep is the splash deck?
About 12 inches at the waterline. Deep enough to sit in with the water at chest height while seated in a lounge chair. Shallow enough to be safe and comfortable for toddlers and non-swimmers.
What’s the deep end like?
The deep end varies by size: 6 ft 0 in on the 30-foot model, 6 ft 6 in on the 35-foot, and 7 ft 0 in on the 40-foot. Deep enough for adults to swim comfortably and for casual diving from the side (not from a board). The 40-foot model’s 7-foot deep end is the most generous and is preferred by buyers who want serious swim depth in addition to the splash deck.
Is the gel coat finish slippery?
The pool floor finish is intentionally textured for grip — you can walk on it comfortably without slipping. The vertical walls are smooth, like a tile finish.
How much does maintenance cost?
Fiberglass pools require less chemical balancing than concrete or vinyl-liner pools because the gel coat surface is non-porous. Most of our clients spend $50–$100 per month on chemicals during the swim season, plus annual opening and closing services. The pool itself needs no resurfacing or liner replacement — there are no major recurring maintenance cycles. We provide a maintenance plan if you’d prefer not to handle it yourself.
Can I install a saltwater system?
Yes. The Pinnacle is fully compatible with saltwater chlorination systems, and the Leisure Pools warranty is not voided by salt systems (unlike some other manufacturers). Saltwater pools are gentler on skin and eyes and require less day-to-day chemical management.
What happens if I move?
The Leisure Pools structural warranty transfers to subsequent owners of the home, which protects your home’s resale value. The 3-year Hometown Pool workmanship warranty also transfers within the first 3 years.
