Steps make it easy to walk in and out rather than climbing over the edge. On a pool this compact, getting in and out gracefully matters more than on a larger pool, and the steps are sized to stay usable even when the pool is full of people.
The floor is a consistent 4′ 5″ across the whole pool — no shallow end, no deep end, no slope.
